Man Pretends to Be Porn Inspector to Get Free DVDs
Times are tough, and one of the first things to go when wallets get light is expensive, delightful pornography. So we're not surprised that a Colorado man recently claimed to be a police detective in an attempt to get free porn videos from his local adult novelty shop.
The man visited the shop three times within nine days, each time showing a badge and identifying himself as a law enforcement officer who needed the X-rated videos to determine whether the performers were underage. Store employees refused to give the man free porn, and after the third attempt, the store manager called the police.
The man even left a business card from the Longmont police department's nonexistent "age verification unit."
"It was inventive on his part, I'll give him that," said Police Cmdr. Tim Lewis. Authorities are currently trying to track down the impostor from the store's surveillance footage. Perhaps they should check the local beaches, where he may be found attempting to inspect bikinis.
